  3.  Before installing this package, please ensure you have removed any 
  4.  previous installations of DeskNite from your hard disk by clicking 
  5.  the supplied uninstall icon shortcut in your DeskNite start menu 
  6.  folder. This applies even if you are intending to install DeskNite 
  7.  Color Edition in place of DeskNite basic.

  9. IMPORTANT: FOR CORRECT AND TROUBLE-FREE OPERATION OF DESKNITE, YOU WILL
  10. NEED TO DISABLE 'VIEW AS WEB PAGE' VIA [START-->SETTINGS-->ACTIVE DESKTOP]
  11. BEFORE INSTALLING THIS PROGRAM, AND KEEP IT DISABLED THEREAFTER.

  14.  Windows automatic installation
  15.  ------------------------------

  17.  Your DeskNite package is installed simply by double clicking on
  18.  the file SETUP.EXE once you have unzipped the contents of
  19.  DeskNite.zip to a folder of your choosing. We suggest a temporary
  20.  folder in your Windows\Temp\ directory.

  22.  Highly recommendend is the excellent WinZip utility. Winzip will automate
  23.  the DeskNite setup with just a press of the Install button on the
  24.  Winzip toolbar.

  31. We DO NOT recommend the use of utilities which render zip files 
  32. transparent or which interfere in some way with normal file-system 
  33. operations. These include Zip Magic and the Windows 98 'compact folders'

  35. about by your use of such utilities with DeskNite. All such use is 
  36. entirely at your own risk.

  39. Runtime Issues

  42. IMPORTANT: IF YOU ARE A USER OF WIN98 OR ABOVE, YOU WILL
  43. NEED TO DISABLE 'VIEW AS WEB PAGE' VIA [START-->SETTINGS-->ACTIVE DESKTOP]
  44. BEFORE INSTALLING THIS PROGRAM, AND KEEP IT DISABLED THEREAFTER.

  46. NB: ON CLOSURE OF THE FREEWARE VERSION OF DESKNITE, A PROMOTIONAL BITMAP 
  47. WILL BE LEFT ON YOUR DESKTOP AS WALLPAPER. THIS DOES NOT INDICATE THAT 
  48. THE PROGRAM IS STILL RUNNING. IT CAN BE REMOVED/CHANGED JUST LIKE ANY 
  49. OTHER WALLPAPER IN THE NORMAL FASHION VIA THE WINDOWS CONTROL PANEL.

  53.  Removal (uninstallation) of DeskNite 
  54.  ------------------------------------

  56.  DeskNite may be uninstalled at any time simply by opening
  57.  Control Panel from the Settings entry in your Start Menu, and
  58.  double-clicking on the item Add/Remove Programs. You will be
  59.  shown a list of programs currently installed on your system,
  60.  from which you should select the item 'DeskNite' for
  61.  automatic removal.
